Feeling Flushed - (Finesse your flush stone setting) | Term Three, 2024

Learn the techniques of flush setting (also known as a 'gypsy setting' or 'burnish setting').
This is a fantastic technique for embedding gems into a metal surface without the need for soldering.
This means you can be creative without having to consider the effects of heat on your work and adapt this to a variety of different jewellery designs and types.
We will start off with a simple project practising with cubic zirconia stones to get our technique right before advancing onto more intricate designs and surface shapes.
Students will need to have some experience with soldering. Minimum being a block week or 1 main class preferred.
