To enter the New Zealand Diploma in Creativity (Level 5) directly, your portfolio should contain:
At least six well-developed works with supporting evidence of creative process, i.e. drawings, photographs, visual diaries/sketchbooks/journals. This work should demonstrate diverse exploration of media and processes.
The six well-developed works that you submit should include at least two examples from at least three of the areas listed below, or the equivalent:

Photography

3D, e.g. jewellery, ceramics, sculpture

Or equivalent, e.g. film, textiles, digital media
In addition, your portfolio will include a statement of creative intention detailing your reasons for seeking RPL, evidence of achievement in other relevant qualifications, and any examples that you may have of professional practice, i.e. exhibition history, relevant work experience, or creative interaction with your community.
Please note: High school portfolios do not adequately demonstrate the creative process requirements to enter level 5, so additional work (preferably recent) will need to accompany these portfolios.
In order to be approved entry at level 5 you will need to show, through your portfolio, that you have completed the requirements/or equivalent, of the New Zealand Certificate in Creativity (Level 4) This information can be found here (Note: Acceptance via the RPL process is not automatic. Evidence presented must demonstrate sufficient ability to achieve completion at the qualification level being applied for.)
