Continue your hot art's projects in this class. Suitable for students who have some previous experience knife making and sculptural casting of bronze and aluminium.
Intermediate and advanced students wanting space to work on their own mixed media sculptures are also welcome to join this class.
Ideal for students with one or more terms experience in Hot Arts.

Content

We’ll continue working on casting and knife projects, with opportunities to expand your creative practice through experimentation with sand casting, considering more complex lost wax projects and bronze patination.
Knife makers - challenge yourself with new forms and fittings, and investigatethe intersection of functional knives and art pieces.

  • Materials cost: Fixed class fee for consumables $10. Gas bottles are additional and the cost is dependent on whether you share a bottle or purchase one for use over one or two terms. Bronze and aluminium charges are dependent on the weight of your cast item.
