April Workshops
Neon Pop Acrylics
Tutor: Alina Gane-Hurcomb

Using your own reference image, you’ll experiment with expressive techniques, dynamic textures, and high-contrast palettes to create a one-of-a-kind piece bursting with personality. Intro to Enamelling
Tutor: Philip Brodie
Date: Saturday 12th April and Sunday 13th April, from 9:30AM to 4:30PM

This is an exciting immersive introduction to enamelling, where you'll learn how to fuse enamel onto copper to create stunning, colourful designs.
Using both torch and kiln techniques, you’ll gain hands-on experience in applying and firing enamel while exploring different decorative methods. Whether you’re new to jewellery-making or looking to expand your skills, this workshop will provide you with the essential techniques to continue enamelling at home.

Join tutor and jewellery artist Jo for a meaningful day of upcycling and storytelling, where you’ll create stunning pieces with emotional significance using broken china, basic tools, and your imagination. The Art of Handmade Paints

Discover how to create your own artist-quality paints and explore tempera, distemper, and shellac mediums in this hands-on workshop.
Learn techniques that will unlock new ways to express your creativity on the canvas while diving into the fascinating world of handmade paints. Whether you’re just starting out or an experienced artist, this class offers something for everyone.
You will make and leave with at least two jars of artist-quality pigment, a sample of shellac, your own visual diary filled with notes and studies on how to maximize your handmade paints, plus the confidence to continue experimenting with tempera and other mediums at home.

Techniques and Textures

Find beauty in the overlooked, and let everyday objects become your inspiration for creating something extraordinary.
Led by professional visual artist Sheyne Tuffery, this weekend will introduce you to Found Object Printing on Saturday, using textures from nature and everyday items to create intricate compositions. Then, on Sunday, you'll explore Monoprinting, diving into tracing techniques and mastering the manipulation of ink to craft original, one-of-a-kind prints.
