If you are asking yourself "How can I get behind TLC?” Wonder no more! Below are a few options for your consideration.
SCHOLARSHIP:
Many of our students come from marginalised situations, so the cost of study and living allowance debt can make further education prohibitive for them. The Learning Connexion (TLC) currently offers several scholarships for these reasons, but we could use a hand in being able to offer more. If you have the capacity to provide regular support, in the form of a scholarship, then please contact us to discuss; the purpose of it, and how you would like to contribute. Information on our current scholarships can be found in the scholarships and grants section.
DONATIONS:
To qualify for the IRD rebate, monetary donations must be made to TLC Educational Trust- which is a registered Charitable trust.
Individual donors can claim a 33.33% tax rebate for donations, up to a maximum claim equal to 33.33% of their annual taxable income.
Business donors are entitled to a deduction for charitable donations, limited only by the amount of the company's net income.
Non-monetary donations: What about a particular skill set gained from your own life/work experience? Younger students, in particular, can really benefit from your knowledge honed from ‘practice’ as opposed to theory.
