The Mixed Media Studio is one of our largest studio spaces in which to create large sculptural artworks.
You will have the opportunity to work creatively with any material you find exciting, and to express and give form to your most outrageous ideas. A high degree of technical skill is taught to enhance and develop your creative process. Students are introduced to sculptural practices, from traditional casting processes and carving, to more contemporary approaches that include mixed media and installations.
In this workroom learn how to use hand and power tools, and experience the freedom to invent crafting processes of your own. Students have the opportunity to play with scale and are guided to push the boundaries of their chosen media with no limitations but that of the media itself. As a result finished works range from the extremely tiny to megalithic works of gigantic proportions.
