Diploma of Art and Creativity

This is a one year full-time , (two years part-time), NZQA level 5 programme.

Students select majors and minors in any of the available subject areas and work closely with tutors to develop briefs for the works they wish to complete. There is considerable flexibility;  students are able to select projects and media of their choice.

The goal is to increase coherence and technical skills. Students increase their focus and self-direction, producing work suitable for TLC exhibitions. Involvement in exhibitions helps build confidence and an understanding of how artistic work connects with a wider audience. It is also a great way to learn about the basics of business. Feedback from tutors is supplemented by the experience of having work on show.

This programme can be completed full-time or part-time, either on-site at our Taita (Wellington) campus, or anywhere in the world through distance delivery. Download a programme outline.
