Accommodation
The Learning Connexion does not provide accommodation. Please contact student support for information about finding accommodation near TLC (Contact details above).

Health
International Students must have an approved medical and travel insurance policy. If you need help to find health care during your stay in New Zealand please contact student support.

Health services in New Zealand
Most international students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If students receive medical treatment during their visit, they may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health and can be viewed on their website at  http://www.moh.govt.nz/moh.nsf

The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at http://www.acc.co.nz.

TLC complaints procedure for International students
We are committed to treating complaints seriously and responding fairly and promptly. If you have a concern please enquire at the Reception desk for an appointment with a student support person or phone 0800 278 769.

If the matter is unresolved you should give your complaint in writing to the Managing Director who will convene the TLC Complaints Committee. The committee goes through a formal process to assess all relevant information and will report back to you. When complainants meet with the committee, or one of its delegated members, they may have a friend present.

If complainants wish to take the matter further after the committee’s decision, international student’s complaints may be referred to the International Education Appeal Authority:
