Welcome to Wellington, New Zealand and The Learning Connexion, International School of Art and Creativity. The Learning Connexion is more than an international art school; it is a creative community which will transform your art and transform your life.

The Learning Connexion is the largest arts and creativity school in New Zealand. It is privately owned. We teach NZQA approved programmes up to University degree level, across many popular fine and contemporary art media– from video to bronze-casting, computer graphics to painting.

Based in Wellington, New Zealand, you can study our art and creativity programmes on-site and from home via our distance delivery (extramural) programme. We also offer both full-time and part-time programmes.

“It’s time to go back to basics and follow your dreams…”

Studying art full time has meant not only a massive lifestyle change for Louise Hare, but also a change of country. Originally from England, Louise has found The Learning Connexion the ideal incubator for her future. Louise Hare was made redundant four times in five years. Understandably fed up and pushed to her limits, Louise decided to make a radical change in her life.

“It was time to make some radical changes. I decided to follow my heart, and my dreams. So I packed up my belongings and got on a plane to New Zealand.”

The plan seemed simple. Travel to the Middle of Middle Earth, draw, knit, paint and recharge. Louise discovered The Learning Connexion based in New Zealand’s capital, Wellington.

Studying full-time and on-site, Louise loves meeting all the new and diverse people the campus has to offer. “ I find it great to be able to access speciality arts facilities all in one place as well. I have become much more confident and now feel I am becoming the person that I always wanted to be.”
