Iain Watt
BA (Hons), PGCE, MEd(Hons)
As my mother said, "Iain was never bored, always making something with his hands and forever drawing!"
Art, design and a passion for life have always been with me - exorcism of anger and expressions of joy have evolved through perseverance, encouragement from family and friends and a solid Scottish education.
After graduating in illustration from Dundee Art School I propelled myself into the role of commercial art and eventually established my own business in my hometown of Glasgow. I worked on a diverse range of graphic assignments with clients throughout the world whilst lecturing at college in Glasgow on my other great passion, photography. I completed a post graduate Certificate in Education and taught art in secondary schools in England.
The Southern Hemisphere beckoned in 1997 through an invitation to tutor at Wellington Polytechnic in two-dimensional design. Much to my delight this culminated in a position at TLC, one of the most exciting and innovative art schools in New Zealand.
