ADMISSIONS ADMINISTRATOR | FRONT OF HOUSE


The Learning Connexion (TLC) is a tertiary school of Creativity and Art based in the Hutt Valley, Wellington. 

We are seeking a naturally friendly, enthusiastic and confident person to fill our front-facing, busy Admissions role. Your primary role is to oversee the admissions process, from the first study enquiry through to finalising enrolment. You will also be a core member of our front of house team, creating a warm and welcoming environment for students and visitors to TLC. This is a pivotal role that requires a people-person with highly effective and self-directed administration skills to support our diverse student community.

Our ideal candidate will be an administration superstar with excellent communication skills, who will have worked in an educational environment and understand the challenges and rewards of study. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Front-of-house administration, greeting and guiding visitors and fielding general incoming phone calls
  • Taking initial enquiries from prospective students by email, phone or in person
  • Providing general advice regarding all aspects of study
  • Following up with prospective students 
  • Processing and tracking enrolment applications
  • Entering enrolment details into our student database 
  • Coordinating portfolio submissions 
  • Processing scholarship applications
  • Processing gallery and materials sales
  • Supporting creativity workshops
  • Facilitating campus tours

Training in the use of our student management systems will be provided.

Located at our campus in Lower Hutt, the role is to be worked 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9.00am-4.30pm. An interest in art and creativity is a strong advantage, but not essential.
