Our Tutors
Our tutors are enthusiastic teachers who are passionate about art and creativity. They share the creative journey with their students. Our tutors are practicing artists in their own right. This means that many of the programmes TLC offers are industry specific such as graphic design, model-making and jewellery.

Our class sizes are small. Our excellent tutor to student ratio gives students a great deal of one on one time, significantly enhancing their skills and learning experience.  In most areas students are also able to work with a tutor of their choice.

Distance Study and Mentors
All distance delivery students are assigned a mentor who is their main point of contact.  Mentors are available via an 0800 number and/or email. Students who opt for digital delivery can keep in contact with their mentor,  as well as interact with other digital delivery students, using TLC’s online digital space.

Mentors provide additional resources in response to the needs, interests and personal learning style of each student. They support students in their own creative development and help keep them on track with official New Zealand Qualifications Authority requirements.
